The Rangers recalled Garabito from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.
Garabito was sent out to the minors Friday, but he will now return to the big club to replace Max Scherzer (hamstring), who was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday. Garabito holds a 4.88 ERA through 24 innings in the majors this year, though he's allowed eight earned runs over his last 6.1 frames and will most likely be limited to low-leverage work until he bounces back.
