Montero was added to Triple-A Norfolk's roster Wednesday after completing his 50-game suspension, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The former top catching prospect, now a first baseman, was hit with a suspension in September after testing positive for a banned substance. The test results brought his impressive 2016 season (.317/.349/.438) into question, but Montero has posted strong numbers since becoming a professional at age 17. He'll get a chance to jump right back into the action at Norfolk, but Montero -- who has 226 MLB games under his belt -- is a long shot to join the O's this season considering the club's large stable of first baseman.
