Mullins was removed from Friday's game against the Astros due to left quadricep tightness, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mullins went 0-for-1 with a walk before leaving the contest in the fifth inning. If the 29-year-old is forced to miss any amount of time, Austin Slater could see additional work, with Ryan O'Hearn also an option in a corner outfield spot against right-handed pitching.
