Quintana (6-8) allowed five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings Friday, taking the loss versus the Mariners.

Quintana was stuck with the loss for the third time in his last five starts. This was the second time in that span he's given up at least five runs, something he's done just four times all season. The veteran southpaw is up to a 4.10 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 102:46 K:BB through 125 innings over 23 starts this year. He's projected for a favorable home start versus the Athletics in his next outing.
