Nimmo has been diagnosed with a partial tear to a tendon in his left foot and will wear a walking boot for the next 10 days, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
This injury could sideline Nimmo for the early portion of Spring Training, which is just a few weeks away. He is slated to start the season in Triple-A and could get a September promotion with a good year. Nimmo, who received an injection in the foot and will be re-evaluated in 10 days has yet to have that big breakout campaign. But he is still just 22 years old after getting drafted in the first round out of high school in 2011.
