Matt Hall: Parts ways with Boston

The Red Sox released Hall on Sunday, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Hall made four appearances (one start) in 2020 for a Boston pitching staff that was both decimated by injuries and lacking in impact arms, but he's pitched exclusively at Triple-A Worcester this season. The 28-year-old lefty did little to make his case for a call-up, posting a 7.36 ERA and 2.10 WHIP across 36.2 innings at Triple-A.
