The Marlins promoted Misner from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Wednesday. He'll serve as the Blue Wahoos' designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Double-A debut against Mississippi.
Misner received the promotion after slashing .244/.350/.424 with 11 home runs and a 23-for-25 success rate on stolen-base attempts. The 23-year-old's toolsy skill set is enticing for fantasy purposes, but he'll likely need to pare down the 29.8 percent strikeout rate he posted at High-A if he's to find consistent success at the plate against higher-level pitching.
