Ian Krol: Bound for free agency

Krol elected free agency Friday after refusing an outright assignment to the minors.

Krol tossed 18.2 innings for the Tigers this season, his first major-league action since 2018. His 4.34 ERA was nothing special, but being left-handed could make him at least somewhat interesting on the open market.
