The Giants activated Hill on Wednesday.
San Francisco claimed Hill off waivers from the Rangers on Tuesday, and he'll now officially join the MLB roster, replacing Luis Matos. The 28-year-old Hill slashed .256/.289/.465 with three homers and five RBI in 45 plate appearances during his time with Texas and played all three outfield positions after working exclusively as a center fielder in past seasons.
