Carlos Correa just needed three years to go from the first overall pick in the 2012 Major League Baseball draft to becoming a two-time All-Star during his seven seasons with the Houston Astros. After his first All-Star campaign in 2017, he had a hangover 2018 season before returning in 2019 as one of the top comeback players in the game. A reliable set of 2022 Fantasy baseball rankings will help you identify players with top talent that appear primed to top the list of 2022 Fantasy baseball sleepers.

With the start of the regular season rapidly approaching, it's imperative to lead your 2022 Fantasy baseball draft prep with players that provide top value. Before wrapping up and last-minute 2022 Fantasy baseball drafts, be sure to see the 2022 Fantasy baseball rankings and cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last season, SportsLine's Projection Model identified several top Fantasy baseball sleepers, breakouts and busts, including Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes.

Reyes had a 2021 Fantasy baseball ADP outside the top 200 but the model predicted that he'd outperform that draft position. The result: Reyes hit 30 home runs and drove in 85 in 115 games for Cleveland and slashed .254/.324/.522 for an OPS+ of 127. Anybody who followed its advice and picked up Reyes late in their Fantasy baseball drafts received a huge power boost in their Fantasy baseball lineups.

The SportsLine model is engineered by the same people who powered projections for all three major Fantasy sites. And that same group is sharing its 2022 Fantasy baseball rankings and cheat sheets over at SportsLine, helping you find Fantasy baseball sleepers, breakouts and busts long before your competition. Their cheat sheets, available for leagues on many major sites, are updated multiple times every day.

Any time more MLB news comes out about the updated 2022 MLB schedule, free agency signings or Fantasy baseball injuries, the team at SportsLine updates its projections. Go to SportsLine now to see these proven Fantasy baseball cheat sheets.

Top 2022 Fantasy baseball sleepers

One of the 2022 Fantasy baseball sleepers the model is projecting: Mets center fielder Brandon Nimmo. The 2011 first-round pick started in 85 of his 92 total games last season, and is expected to anchor the outfield this year. After he played 140 games in 2018, he took a step back on offense the following season, but appeared to start getting things back on track over the last two years. Nimmo has hit just eight home runs in each of the last three seasons, but finished 2021 with impressive batting splits of .292/.401/.437.

Last season, he finished with a career-high in batting average for balls put in play, with .366, and had his second-highest total base count, with 142. Nimmo has only played three-quarters of a season in two of his six years -- one being 2020 -- but the model projects that he will return more value than others drafted ahead of him like Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger and Daulton Varsho.

Another one of the 2022 Fantasy baseball sleepers the model is all over: Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain. Injuries have caught up to the 36-year old in recent years. But when healthy, the veteran can hit for average and occasional power, while also being a nice contributor of stolen bases.

He's slotted in near the top of Milwaukee's lineup and should be able to pile up some runs scored with Christian Yelich hitting behind him. Fantasy players are sleeping on Cain as he's going off the board outside the top 200 picks. He's projected to outperform center fielders such as Bellinger and Taylor, however, both players going off the board well before him, so there's value in taking Cain late in Fantasy baseball drafts.

How to find proven 2022 Fantasy baseball rankings

SportsLine is also high on a surprising starting pitcher who lands in the top five of its positional rankings. This player is barely going off the board in the top 100 picks, but is projected to outperform starters such as Julio Urias, Max Scherzer and Lucas Giolito. This pick could be the difference in winning your league or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
