Paredes was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Nationals due to a left wrist contusion, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Paredes was hit in the left hand/wrist during Thursday's contest and also sat down Friday, though this is the first time the Cubs have specified his absence as injury-related. He'll take another day to recover, meanwhile Luis Vazquez will enter the lineup to start at third base and bat ninth.
