The Yankees released Morris on Tuesday.
Morris spent all of last season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he turned in a 4.03 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 38 innings. The 28-year-old should be able to land another minor-league deal elsewhere, though he'll likely need to fight for an Opening Day roster spot during spring training.
