The Cardinals placed Miller on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left foot blister, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
It's unclear whether Miller will be ready to return when eligible in early September or if he'll require a longer absence while his blister heals. The lefty has been an ineffective relief option lately, allowing seven runs on eight hits in his last six innings dating back to Aug. 12. Kodi Whitley was recalled from Triple-A Memphis to take Miller's place in the bullpen.
