Atlanta recalled Williams from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Williams is taking the roster spot vacated by Austin Riley (personal), who was placed on the paternity list. He could see some reps in the infield while Riley is away but is likely to be sent back down to the minors when the latter returns later this week.
