Blue Jays' Steward Berroa: Drawing rare start

Berroa will start in right field and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Red Sox.

With George Springer getting the evening off from playing the field and instead serving as the Blue Jays' designated hitter, Berroa will be called upon to step in as the team's right fielder. Since his most recent promotion from Triple-A Buffalo on July 3, Berroa has picked up just seven starts. He'll likely continue to see limited starting opportunities over the final month of the season and is expected to be deployed primarily as a late-inning defensive replacement or pinch runner.
