Athletics' Luis Barrera: Sent down Thursday

Barrera was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Barrera didn't play in any of the last three games, and he'll head back to the minors after Mitch Moreland (rib) was reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move. During Barrera's brief stint with the Athletics, he went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts.
