Jackson's contract was selected by the Athletics on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Jackson hasn't appeared in the majors since 2019, but he'll serve as infield depth during the Athletics' weekend road trip in Toronto. He'll presumably return to the minors once Oakland returns home Monday.
