Stratton was designated for assignment by the Angels on Tuesday.
Stratton was acquired in a trade from San Francisco just two days before Opening Day. He struggled greatly though five starts and two relief appearances, posting an 8.59 ERA and a 22:18 K:BB. He'll make way for Cody Allen (back), who was activated from the 10-day injured list.
