Draft Scouting Report
Marcus Harris is a smaller, feisty outside cornerback with strong awareness, particularly at the catch point, where his ball skills shine. However, his short arms limit his ability to make plays on longer, more physical receivers. Harris flashes high-end twitch and solid plant-and-drive ability, though it’s not a defining trait. His stiff hip transitions make him better suited for press-bail or zone schemes, where his instincts and aggressive play at the catch point can shine. His recovery speed is adequate, allowing him to stay with moderately fast receivers but lacking the ability to keep up with burners. As a tackler, Harris is an asset, attacking ball-carriers aggressively while staying fundamentally sound. He holds his own against higher competition but struggles at times with quicker, shiftier receivers. While his length and fluidity are limited, Harris’s instincts, ball skills and tackling ability give him potential to outperform his draft position, especially in a zone-heavy scheme.
