Summary

Thomas Fidone II was a former No. 1 tight end recruit who couldn't stay healthy and struggled to develop because of that. This past fall, though, you saw his special traits in action. He's a sudden route-runner with a massive frame.

About
  • 2023: Led team with four receiving touchdowns
  • 2024: Set career highs in receptions (36) and receiving yards (373)
Strengths
  • Massive wingspan. Ideal frame for an NFL TE
  • Capable of really exploding out of cuts
  • Physical post-catch. Will run through DBs
Weaknesses
  • Missed first two seasons at Nebraska with knee injuries
  • Laborious getting out into routes. Not much suddenness off the line
  • Lacks crispness in routes. Same routes look different throughout game
  • Hasn't filled out his frame just yet. Needs to add muscle
Combine Data
  • 40-yard dash: 4.70 seconds
  • Vertical jump: 35.5 inches
  • 20-yard shuttle run: 4.29 seconds
  • Broad jump: 10 feet, 6 inches
  • 3-cone drill: 7.01 seconds

  • Giants' Thomas Fidone: Joining Big Blue

The Giants selected Fidone in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 219th overall.

Fidone started a pair of seasons at Nebraska and compiled 61 catches for 633 yards and four touchdowns over that time after missing 2021 and 2022 due to injuries. He posted solid numbers at the NFL Combine in February, and he's at his best working down the seam. Fidone is set to provide depth at tight end and will need to play special teams to claim a spot on the Giants' 53-man roster coming out of training camp.
