Broncos' Jonathon Cooper: Logs sack vs. Kansas City
Cooper recorded six total tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Chiefs.
The 26-year-old was one of four Broncos to record a sack in Sunday's loss, bringing down Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter. Cooper, who just signed a four-year, $60 million extension last Monday, has now totaled 41 total tackles, including 6.5 sacks, and forced one fumble through the Broncos' first 10 games this season. Expect the newly paid edge rusher to continue wreaking havoc on opposing quarterbacks as the season progresses.

Broncos' Jonathon Cooper: Inks extension with Denver
Cooper agreed to a four-year, $60 million extension with the Broncos on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
A 2021 seventh-round pick from Ohio State, Cooper was set to hit free agency after the season before coming to an agreement with the Broncos on an extension. Cooper has been a disruptive pass rusher over the past two years in Denver, recording 107 total tackles, 14 sacks and two forced fumbles across 26 games. He's now expected to continue serving as the Broncos' top edge rusher and remain an integral part of the team's defense for years to come.

Broncos' Jonathon Cooper: Notches two sacks in loss
Cooper recorded six tackles (two solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Seahawks.
Cooper finished the 2023 campaign with a career-high 8.5 sacks, and it seems he could be headed toward another career year with a strong start in Week 1. In a contract year, the 26-year-old linebacker should remain a key member of Denver's defense and a strong IDP option for fantasy purposes for the 2024 season.
