Chiefs' Kristian Fulton: Signs with Kansas City
Fulton agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal with the Chiefs on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Networkreports.
Fulton rejuvenated his career in his lone year with the Chargers last season, turning into arguably one of Los Angeles' best secondary pieces. The 26-year-old parlayed the strong season into a significant deal with the Chiefs that includes $15 million guaranteed and a maximum value of $20.5 million, per Rapoport. Fulton has played as a boundary corner for virtually his entire career, but with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson already firmly set in their spots, it's possible the new addition could be utilized all around Kansas City's secondary.

Chargers' Kristian Fulton: Records 51 tackles in 2024
Fulton finished the 2024 regular season with 51 tackles (39 solo) and seven pass defenses (including one interception) across 15 games.
Fulton was Tennessee's second-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. He spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Titans, but he opted to sign a one-year, $3.13 million contract with the Chargers in March of 2024. Fulton started in every game he played, but he could be on his way out of Los Angeles if the Chargers opt to go with rookies Tarheeb Still and Cam Hart (shoulder) as the starting outside corners for the 2025 campaign.

Chargers' Kristian Fulton: No longer under the weather
Fulton (illness) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Fulton was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Raiders due to an illness and did not return. His ability to practice in full Tuesday indicates he's no longer feeling under the weather and should play in Saturday's wild-card game against the Texans. Fulton finished his first regular season with the Chargers with a career-high 51 tackles (39 solo) and seven pass defenses (including one interception) across 15 games.

Fulton (illness) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Fulton appears to be under the weather and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to Sunday's game. Tarheeb Still will likely step in at outside corner opposite Cam Hart for as long as Fulton is sidelined.
