Celtics' Jordan Walsh: One more DNP in win
Walsh never saw the floor in Tuesday's 120-117 home win over the formerly undefeated Cavaliers.
The second-year pro now has three DNP-Coach's Decisions for the young season. Granted, Boston has a loaded roster, which will only get deeper when Kristaps Porzingis (foot) returns in December or January. Walsh might need some trips to the G League Maine Celtics to enjoy some extended run and remain ready to go for Boston. The 20-year-old Walsh has averaged nine minutes per contest when he does play. His next chance to see the floor occurs Friday at Washington.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Season-high 19 minutes in blowout
Walsh accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, one block and two steals over 19 minutes during Monday's 123-93 victory over the Hawks.
With Jaylen Brown (hip) sidelined and Monday's game turning into a blowout, Walsh was afforded extra run versus the Hawks. The defensive-minded forward is a nice depth piece for the Celtics, but his path to substantial playing time is thoroughly crowded.

The rookie spent most of the season in the G League and isn't expected to be part of the Celtics' postseason rotation.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Elevated for depth
Boston recalled Walsh from the G League's Maine Celtics on Friday.
The Celtics continue to rest numerous regulars because they've almost locked up the No. 1 seed already, so Walsh was elevated for depth. He played three minutes during Friday's win in Detriot and scored two points but didn't see any action in Saturday's win in Chicago.

Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Recalled Monday
Boston recalled Walsh from the G League's Maine Celtics on Monday.
Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Jaylen Brown (ankle) are questionable, and Jrue Holiday, Sam Hauser (ankle) and Al Horford (rest/toe) have already been ruled out, so Walsh has been elevated and will provide emergency depth. Celtics' Jordan Walsh: Receives third DNP in three games
Rookie Jordan Walsh has yet to receive any playing time over Boston's first three games of the season.
It was particularly distressing to not see Walsh enter Monday's blowout win over the Wizards. The Celtics were up big early, having led 42-19 after the first quarter. Walsh was the only reserve to not play Monday night. The second-round draft pick clearly hasn't earned coach Joe Mazzulla's trust. The rookie might need to play well with the Maine Celtics of the G League before he sees much run with Boston.
