Avery Davis: Cut by Detroit
The Lions waived Davis on Sunday.
Davis rejoined the Lions on Aug. 14 after being let go by the team five days prior. He failed to haul in a pass in his lone outing against the Panthers on Saturday and will look for opportunities elsewhere once he clears waivers.

Lions' Avery Davis: Back in Motown
Davis signed a contract with the Lions on Monday.
Just days after being waived by the Lions, Davis has been re-signed. The undrafted free agent suffered a torn ACL in both of his knees in subsequent years to close out his collegiate career at Notre Dame. He is now looking to make an impression in Detroit as he continues his comeback.

Davis went undrafted out of Notre Dame after suffering a torn ACL in each of his knees in subsequent years to close out his time in college. He'll now work to earn a depth role in Detroit's receiving corps.
