Duke has been one of college football's biggest surprises in 2024, and now it can spoil Miami's perfect season on Saturday afternoon. The Hurricanes are eyeing a run at the national championship, but the Blue Devils might be a tough out.

Miami is coming off a win over Florida State in a big rivalry game, and running back Damien Martinez continues to emerge as a star for the offense. He rushed 15 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns against the Seminoles, and there is little doubt that Duke will see a steady dose of him this weekend.

The Hurricanes' defense has looked somewhat vulnerable at times, giving up at least 34 points in three straight games prior to the Florida State game. Can the Blue Devils take advantage of that?

Duke, on the other hand, has been winning games with its defense. That side of the ball has yet to allow 30 points in a single game, and it forced six turnovers in last week's loss to SMU. Having said that, Manny Diaz's defense hasn't face a quarterback as talented as Cam Ward, a bona fide Heisman Trophy contender.

The biggest concern for Duke might be finding a way to keep up with the Miami offense. The Blue Devils have struggled on offense at times, with quarterback Maalik Murphy completing just 58.6% of his passes on the year.
