This Big 12 Conference matchup features two teams headed in different directions. No. 9 Iowa State is 6-0 and has its eyes on a College Football Playoff berth. UCF, on the other hand, has looked broken in three straight conference losses.

For casual fans, it may be surprising to see Iowa State sitting in the top 10, but it has earned that ranking. The Cyclones have rolled through the first half of the season, and there's reason to believe that will continue this weekend. The Iowa State defense has been excellent, having not allowed more than 21 points in a game all year.

Rocco Becht has also provided steady play at quarterback, and he threw for 265 yards and a score last weekend in Morgantown. He'll need another clean performance to keep the Cyclones undefeated this Saturday.

On the other side, UCF has fallen apart in its last three games. Last weekend, the Knights dropped a 19-13 stinker to Cincinnati. Running back Johnny Richardson fumbled on his only two touches of the game, and those proved to be extremely costly turnovers.

The UCF defense played reasonably well and only allowed 338 total yards, but the offense put it in some compromising positions. The Knights will need another tremendous defensive outing if they want to end Iowa State's undefeated bid.
