I don't know that I'm ready for a reality in which Purdue football is fun to watch again. But it's becoming quite apparent that first-year coach Jeff Brohm is on his way to doing great things with this program. For now, though, the Boilermakers are light years ahead of where they were a year ago. They're having a good time, and there's no overstating the importance of that.
Against Ohio on Friday night, Brohm reached into his bag of tricks and pulled out a double flea flicker reverse for a 62-yard score ...
If someone ran this against you in a video game, you'd quit. Forever.

The creativity of the call is great, but it doesn't match how long the play took to develop. Tight end Cole Herdman was all by his lonesome self and it still felt like a long, long six seconds between the time he caught it and the time he dove into the end zone. Those are the best types of trick plays.
