One of the top offensive linemen from the Class of 2022 made his commitment known to the college football world live Monday on CBS Sports HQ. Addison Nichols announced that he will continue his football career at Tennessee, choosing the Volunteers over North Carolina, Ohio State and many other offers.

Nichols, a four-star prospect, is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and No. 107 overall player in the class by the 247Sports Composite.

Tennessee landed Nichols despite a late charge from other schools. He visited Ohio State, Florida, USC and Georgia in June once the dead period was lifted, and took an unofficial visit to North Carolina as well. The 6-foot-5, 318-pound Atlanta-area prospect projects as a guard at the college level but was regarded as a tackle prospect until recently. Nichols could potentially play either position at the next level.

Nichols' 2019 highlight reel from Greater Atlanta Christian School shows a player nimble enough to get downfield to take on linebackers and safeties in the run game. He also comes from a strong high school program that has amassed a 24-3 record over the past two seasons. He will play in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio following the season.

Tennessee now has 13 players committed to play for Josh Heupel's program in the current recruiting cycle, and is just the second four-star prospect in the class.
