The Saturday Meal Plan fills you in on what to watch, when to watch and where to watch every Saturday during the college football season.

With so many games being played on Friday, the Saturday schedule isn't as deep as we normally get, but there are still plenty of games to get you through the day. What it lacks in games, it makes up for in hate, as it's rivalry week with a lot on the line in many of the rivalry games taking place.

Plus it's the last "real" Saturday of the regular season. So take it all in while you can.

All times Eastern

Breakfast

Michigan at No. 6 Ohio State — ABC, Noon

Do I really need to explain the significance of this game to you? Sure, Michigan isn't exactly Michigan this year, but this is still one of the biggest rivalries in college football we're talking about here. And both teams have something to play for. Ohio State obviously needs to win this game and the Big Ten Championship if it wants to get to the College Football Playoff, and if the Wolverines want to go to a bowl game this year, they have to spoil Ohio State's title hopes to do so.

No. 16 Georgia Tech at No. 9 Georgia — SEC Network, Noon

This is a rivalry that may not get much attention nationally, but take my word for it when I say that these two teams do not like each other very much. Georgia has dominated the series this century, though, winning 12 of 13 meetings since 2001, including the last five.

South Carolina at No. 21 Clemson — ESPN, Noon

It's been a disappointing season for South Carolina, but nothing would make Steve Spurrier happier right now than beating Clemson one more time. While Spurrier is 6-3 overall against Clemson at South Carolina, he's 5-1 against the Tigers since Dabo Swinney took over, and the Gamecocks have won the last five.

Kentucky at No. 22 Louisville — ESPN2, Noon

So much hate to start your day with! Sure, most of the hate between these two schools is saved for a basketball court, but this is still a major game for Kentucky as it needs to beat its state rival if it wants to go bowling.

Illinois at Northwestern — ESPNU, Noon

This is a "rivalry" in the sense that both teams are in the same conference and are in the same state. But throughout the history of it, these games generally don't have anything on the line. That's not the case this season. Both Northwestern and Illinois come into the game at 5-6 with bowl bids at stake. It's win or go home. In other words, it's exactly the kind of game this "rivalry" needs to create a real spark.

West Virginia at Iowa State — Fox Sports 1, Noon

Things have gone downhill for West Virginia in the second half of the season, but a win here would feel good going into a bowl game. As for Iowa State, a win over anybody would feel good right now, as the Cyclones are still winless in Big 12 play and they're running out of games to get it.

Purdue at Indiana — Big Ten Network, Noon

Both of these teams are in last place in their respective divisions, but at least the winner of this game will have an Old Oaken Bucket to stand on and prop themselves up.

Rice at Louisiana Tech — CBS Sports Network, Noon

Not a rivalry, but still a very big game in Conference USA's West Division. Simply put, the winner of this game wins the division and will get to play Marshall for the conference title.

No. 25 Utah at Colorado — Pac-12 Network, 1 p.m.

The Pac-12's newest rivalry! The Utes are hanging on to their ranking despite losing three of their last four and could get to eight wins by beating Colorado. The Buffaloes, meanwhile, are just looking to get that first Pac-12 win of the season.

Lunch

No. 4 Mississippi State at No. 19 Ole Miss — CBS, 3:30 p.m.

The Egg Bowl is always important to both of these schools, but this year's game takes on an added significance. Mississippi State is still alive for both an SEC title and a CFP berth, but it's not going to get either unless it beats Ole Miss. And, trust me, there's nothing Ole Miss wants to do more than crush State's hopes.

Florida at No. 3 Florida State — ESPN, 3:30 p.m.

Is this the game Florida State loses? The Gators haven't exactly been world-beaters this season, but there's still plenty of talent on the roster, and considering the close calls the Seminoles have had against lesser teams, it's not all that crazy a thought.

No. 18 Minnesota at No. 14 Wisconsin — BTN, 3:30 p.m.

The week before the Big Ten Championship Game we have the Big Ten West Division Championship Game. The winner of this game earns the right to go to Indianapolis and play Ohio State next week. And as if that wasn't a big enough prize to play for, there's an axe on the line as well.

No. 7 Baylor vs. Texas Tech in Arlington, TX — ABC/ESPN2, 3:30 p.m.

Did you see TCU beat Texas 48-10 on Thursday night? Baylor did, and you better believe that Baylor will want to do everything in its power to put up an even more impressive scoreline against Texas Tech in this game.

No. 10 Michigan State at Penn State — ABC/ESPN2, 3:30 p.m.

The Big Ten considers this a rivalry, and it even has a trophy, but neither fan base considers the other its primary rival. It's still an important game for Michigan State as it hopes to earn a spot in an access bowl.

Notre Dame at USC — Fox, 3:30 p.m.

A historic rivalry featuring two teams who both failed to live up to their own expectations. A win here would make both teams feel a little better about it at least.

Rutgers at Maryland — ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.

The Big Ten's oldest, most-cherished rivalry! Or not, whatever, but the two new kids at school get to fight and show the rest of the class they're better. Seriously, though, Maryland is going to finish in third place in the Big Ten East, and nobody would have predicted that before the season began.

San Jose State at San Diego State — CBS Sports Network, 3:30 p.m.

It's incredibly simple for San Diego State in this game. If it wants to win the MWC's West Division, it needs to win this game and then hope Fresno State loses to Hawaii later in the day.

Kansas at No. 12 Kansas State — FS1, 4 p.m.

All the talk in the Big 12 these days is about Baylor and TCU, but Kansas State is still alive for at least a share of the conference title. It needs to beat Kansas first, though.

Tennessee at Vanderbilt — SEC Network, 4 p.m.

If Tennessee wants to go bowling this year, it needs to beat Vanderbilt to do so. That seems easy enough, but Vandy has eliminated the Vols from bowl contention each of the last two years.

UConn at Memphis — ESPN News, 4 p.m.

Memphis clinches a share of the American Athletic Conference title with a win. It's that simple. Considering where Memphis was as a program not to long ago, it'd be a hell of a feat.

BYU at California — Pac-12 Network, 4:30 p.m.

Cal is another team that needs one more win to become bowl eligible this season, and BYU is the last team standing in its way.

Dinner

Wake Forest at Duke — ESPNU, 7 p.m.

A few weeks ago, Duke was in the driver's seat for the ACC Coastal crown. After losses to North Carolina and Virginia Tech the Dukies will watch the ACC title game from home this season. So there's not much to play for in this game, but I suppose it's still a local rivalry.

Pittsburgh at Miami — ESPN2, 7 p.m.

Remember a couple weeks ago when everybody was telling you Miami was going to beat Florida State? Well, it didn't and then last week it lost by 17 points to Virginia. The only thing on the line in this game is positioning in the Coastal, and I have no idea what to expect from either of these teams on a weekly basis, and I have no idea what's going to happen here. So this will probably be the game of the week.

No. 15 Auburn at No. 1 Alabama — ESPN, 7:45 p.m.

Have you ever heard of this Iron Bowl thing? Apparently it's a new rivalry between a couple of upstart programs from the state of Alabama. Maybe you should watch it to see what all the fuss is about.

No. 2 Oregon at Oregon State — ABC, 8 p.m.

Not many people expect Oregon State to win this game, and understandably so, but you can be sure the Beavers will give the Ducks their best shot. Not only are the Beavers a win shy of going to a bowl game, but they could crush Oregon's playoff hopes as well.

Late-night Snacks

Utah State at No. 23 Boise State — ESPN2, 10:15 p.m.

A very big game in the Mountain West. If Boise State wins, it wins the Mountain Division and helps its access bowl cause. Utah State could win the division as well, but it would not only need to beat Boise State. The Aggies also need Air Force to knock off Colorado State on Friday afternoon.

Washington at Washington State — FS1, 10:30 p.m.

This is actually one of my favorite rivalry games. There's nothing on the line here but bragging rights, but the Apple Cup is usually an entertaining affair. I expect nothing different Saturday night.

Nevada at UNLV — ESPNU, 10:30 p.m.

A state rivalry, but nothing really on the line here. It'll be on in case the two other games going on at this time are at commercial, though.
