The Saturday Meal Plan fills you in on what to watch, when to watch and where to watch every Saturday during the college football season.

Be forewarned, college football viewer, for there is a lot of boring football to get through this week. Thus is the result of all those early season SEC and ACC matchups in August and early September.

Late November gets here and we're stuck watching the annual SEC-Southern Conference Challenge.

But don't worry, in the midst of all the duds this weekend, there are actually some good games that will more than make up for it should things go according to plan.

BREAKFAST

No. 13 Michigan State at Northwestern -- ESPN, Noon (All times Eastern)

I know that on the surface this doesn't seem like it will be all that interesting of a game, given the struggles Northwestern has gone through this season. However, I think this one has a chance to be closer than a lot of people think. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying it will be a "good" game, but it should be interesting at the very least.

No. 20 Oklahoma at Kansas State - Fox Sports 1, Noon

I don't know if I'd read too much into what Oklahoma did against Iowa State last week as the Cyclones have a tendency to cure what's ailing a team. Plus this week the Sooners will be without Blake Bell and Damien Williams, and Kansas State is vastly improved from the team we saw at the start of the season.

Duke at Wake Forest -- ESPN2, Noon

We are currently living in a world in which a Duke game against Wake Forest is being broadcast on national televison because Duke is currently in control of its own destiny in the ACC's Coastal Division. And did I mention this is a football game? Because it is. Duke is good at football. Really. I mean it.

Michigan at Iowa -- Big Ten Network, Noon

I'm trying to think of a reason you should watch this game. I am failing.

Illinois at Purdue -- Big Ten Network, Noon

I actually do have a reason you should watch this game, though I'm not sure how good a reason it is. Whatever the case, the fact is that one of these teams has to win its first game since September on Saturday, and it will also be the first conference win for the victorious coach. Of course, Tim Beckman's been at Illinois a year longer than Darrell Hazell's been at Purdue.

Virginia at Miami -- ESPNU, Noon

Do you realize it was only a month ago that Miami was 7-0 and ranked in the top ten? Since then the Canes have lost to Florida State, Virginia Tech and Duke by a combined score of 131-68. It's like they've played two entirely different seasons.

Cincinnati at Houston -- ESPNNews, Noon

Neither of these teams can win the American at this point, though this one will be important for bowl purposes.

LUNCH

No. 12 Texas A&M at No. 22 LSU -- CBS, 3:30 p.m.

There are really only two games going on during this shift that you're going to need to pay attention to, and this is one of them. I have a good feeling that this game will continue the 2013 tradition of SEC on CBS Shootouts, and you should also tune in just to watch Johnny Manziel because I don't know how many more chances you'll get to see him play in college.

No. 19 Wisconsin at No. 25 Minnesota -- ESPN, 3:30 p.m.

This is the other game. This year's game between these two teams is a special occasion, because these two bordering states have always been rivals. It's just that rare is the occassion in which both of these schools have good teams when they meet on the gridiron, so this year's game should be special.

Idaho at No. 2 Florida State -- ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.

This is the price we must pay for Florida State opening its season with Pitt.

Brigham Young at Notre Dame -- NBC, 3:30 p.m.

This game probably won't be very pretty, as neither team is built to impress you on offense, but both have strong defenses. So it'll come down to the fourth quarter.

Indiana at No. 3 Ohio State -- ABC/ESPN2, 3:30 p.m.

You know, this game seems like it'll be a dud, and it probably will be, but remember that last year's game in Bloomington had a final score of 52-49 and Ohio State did just give up 35 points to Illinois last week. So maybe, just maybe...

No. 5 Oregon at Arizona -- ABC/ESPN2, 3:30 p.m.

Oregon has new life after Stanford's loss last week, and I expect the Ducks to take full advantage of it. Starting with a blowout of Arizona on Saturday.

Nebraska at Penn State -- Big Ten Network, 3:30 p.m.

This is kind of like the Michigan-Iowa game from earlier. I mean, it's on, and it's football, which his better than things that aren't football, but I just don't know how much better.

Utah at Washington State -- Pac-12 Network, 3:30 p.m.

May not seem all that important a game to you on the outside, but both of these teams need this game if they want to go bowling. Utah needs to win out, and Washington State doesn't want to go into the Apple Cup with a bowl berth on the line as well.

California at No. 9 Stanford -- Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.

Who knows how Stanford will respond to blowing it last week, but Cal is just so bad this season that I think the Cardinal can sleepwalk right on through this game and win by 30.

New Mexico at No. 15 Fresno State -- ESPNNews, 4 p.m.

Something to keep in mind before writing this one off entirely. New Mexico's rushing offense is actually sixth in the country in yards per carry, behind only Wisconsin, Ohio State, Northern Illinois, Oregon and Auburn. Which, to me, means that the Lobos have a good shot to shorten this game and keep the Fresno State offense off the field. Something insane could possibly happen here.

DINNER

No. 17 Arizona State at No. 14 UCLA -- Fox, 7 p.m.

This game is huge in the Pac-12 South. If Arizona State wins it clinches the division. If UCLA wins then we head into the final week of the season with the Sun Devils, Bruins and USC all alive for the division.

Kentucky at Georgia -- ESPNU,  7 p.m.

Luckily for all of us there will be other games on.

Vanderbilt at Tennessee -- ESPN2, 7 p.m.

Not exactly a battle of headliners, but it's an in-state rivalry game that's picked up in intensity the last few seasons with Vanderbilt's emergence.

No. 8 Missouri at No. 24 Ole Miss -- ESPN, 7:45 p.m.

This is a very big game for Missouri simply because Missouri can't afford to lose again if it wants to win the SEC East. The Tigers will also get James Franklin back on Saturday night, and this matchup with Ole Miss could prove to be one of the more entertaining games of the weekend.

No. 4 Baylor at No. 10 Oklahoma State -- ABC, 8 p.m.

Given how Texas looked last week, it really feels like Oklahoma State is the only thing that's standing between Baylor and an undefeated regular season at this point. And there's a good chance the Cowboys will succeed, as Baylor just isn't as good outside of Waco and the weather conditions for Stillwater on Saturday night won't be conducive to high-powered offense. This has the potential to be a great game.

Kansas at Iowa State -- Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.

For the college football fan with a broken remote control and not enough will power to get up off the couch and change the channel.

LATE NIGHT SNACKS

No. 23 Southern California at Colorado -- Pac-12 Network, 9:30 p.m.

Ed Orgeron isn't just coaching for a job -- be it at USC or elsewhere -- but as I mentioned above, USC is still alive in the Pac-12 South.

Boise State at San Diego State -- CBS Sports Network, 10:30 p.m.

Boise State would love a rematch against Fresno State after losing to the Bulldogs 41-40 earlier this season. Beating San Diego State on Saturday night would get them one.

Washington at Oregon State -- ESPN2, 10:30 p.m.

The forecast for this game calls for a lot of points and a lot of weary eyes come 2 a.m. It'll probably be worth it.
