When UCLA receiver Nick Pasquale was killed in a car accident earlier this season, their opponents that week at Nebraska wore his number on their helmets in honor of his memory. Cincinnati's opponents this week surely would have followed suit in the wake of the Saturday accident that tragically killed Bearcat offensive lineman Ben Flick -- except that Cincinnati has the week off.

An Ohio native, Flick had no clear connection to the Broncos program -- which in many ways makes the gesture even classier. Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck told NBC Sports that “simply, it’s the right thing to do ... We want Coach [Tommy] Tuberville, the families involved and all of Bearcat Nation to know we are rowing for them.”
The decals will be worn during Western Michigan's home game Saturday vs.
