The Tulsa offense certainly wasn't suffering from a case of the Mondays at Marlins Park as the Golden Hurricane rolled up 55 points on Central Michigan in a 55-10 win in the Miami Beach Bowl.
Quarterback Dane Evans completed 28-of-38 passes for 304 yards and five touchdowns as he carved up the Central Michigan defense with surgical precision. His favorite target Monday afternoon was Josh Atkinson, who had 12 receptions for 131 yards and one touchdown, while Keevan Lucas had seven catches for 71 yards and three touchdowns.
As was the case all season, it was a balanced effort from the Golden Hurricane on offense, as the two-headed rushing attack of James Flanders and D'Angelo Brewer had 205 combined yards -- 105 and 100 yards respectively. With Atkinson crossing the 1,000 yard mark for the season, the Golden Hurricane became the first team in FBS history to have a 3,000 yard passer, two 1,000 yard receivers and two 1,000 yard rushers in the same season.

Central Michigan's defense had no answers for the Golden Hurricane offensive attack all day as Tulsa rolled up 581 total yards of offense on 6.8 yards per play, even with Tulsa taking the foot off the gas in the fourth quarter.
The Tulsa defense was almost as dominant as its offense, holding Central Michigan to 355 total yards on 4.9 yards per play and picked off Chippewas quarterback Cooper Rush three times leading to 17 points. The win moves Tulsa to 10 wins on the season, the Golden Hurricanes' first 10-win season since 2012.
