Bennett has posted back-to-back 300-yard performances -- his first two of the season -- and enters Monday with 2,638 yards with 27 touchdown passes. His top target is Brock Bowers, who leads Georgia with 52 receptions, 846 yards and 12 TD catches -- all single-season school records for a tight end. The freshman's dozen scoring receptions are the most in one campaign by a player at any position in program history, eclipsing the previous mark of 11 set in 2002 by wideout Terrence Edwards.
Why Alabama can cover
The Crimson Tide are third in the nation in scoring (41.4 points), sixth in total offense (494.6 yards) and eighth in passing (336) but rank an unspectacular 72nd in rushing (158.6). But that doesn't mean Brian Robinson Jr. should be taken lightly, as he is 18th in the country with 1,275 yards and tied for 19th with 14 touchdown runs. The fifth-year senior back needs 106 yards to overtake Johnny Musso (2,741) for 10th place on Alabama's all-time rushing list.
Robinson, who ran for eight scores during a four-game streak from Oct. 16-Nov. 13 but has gone four contests without reaching the end zone, already is tied with Tony Nathan for 10th in school history with 29 rushing TDs and trails Eddie Lacy by one for ninth place. Despite not scoring in Alabama's 27-6 victory against Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl, Robinson was a beast as he gained a career-high 204 yards on 26 carries.
