Nets' Cam Thomas: Will be evaluated this weekend
Thomas (hamstring) is progressing well in his recovery and will be re-evaluated this weekend, Meghan Triplett of YES Network reports.
Thomas has missed Brooklyn's last eight games due to a left hamstring strain and will remain sidelined Thursday. Keon Johnson will likely continue to start in his absence. While Thomas will be re-evaluated this weekend, it seems unlikely he will suit up for Saturday's matchup with Utah.

Thomas (hamstring) hasn't been cleared for contact yet, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Out at least three weeks
Brooklyn announced Wednesday that Thomas suffered a left hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
An MRI on Tuesday revealed the strain and confirmed that the Nets will be without their top offensive option for several weeks. Based on Thomas' re-evaluation date, the earliest possible return date will be Dec. 19 against the Raptors. In Thomas' absence, Dennis Schroder, Ben Simmons and Cameron Johnson could see increased usage, while guys like Keon Johnson and Jalen Wilson could get more opportunities.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Makes early exit Monday
Thomas didn't return to Monday's 128-120 win over the Warriors after exiting with 6:43 remaining in the third quarter, Brian Lewis of The New York Post reports. "I ended up taking him out because he took a foul, he was tired," head coach Jordi Fernandez said, when asked about Thomas' early exit. "I didn't feel it was right. And I just wanted to protect him from himself."
Thomas scored 23 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT) and added three rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes before checking out midway through the third quarter. Based on Fernandez's comments, Thomas appears to have been dealing with general fatigue more so than a legitimate injury, so the expectation is that the 23-year-old guard will be ready to go for the Nets' next game Wednesday in Phoenix. Thomas missed a game last week with a sore back and had also battled an illness prior to last Friday's game in Philadelphia.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Explodes for 34 points in upset win
Thomas ended with 34 points (11-22 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 8-11 FT), two rebounds and six assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 108-103 victory over the Kings.
Thomas delivered one of his best scoring performances of the season Sunday, carrying the Nets to a huge road win over the Kings. It's not odd to see Thomas taking over games for Brooklyn, however, and he has the absolute green light to fire from any point of the field at any given moment, especially when the Nets are shorthanded like they were Sunday. Thomas has backed up that offensive freedom with excellent numbers. He's averaging 23.6 points, 3.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game since the beginning of November.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Available Friday
Thomas (back) is available for Friday's game against the 76ers, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Despite dealing with lingering back tightness, Thomas will suit up Friday. The 23-year-old was unable to play in Tuesday's win over the Hornets, though he will play through the back issue against Philadelphia. In his last five outings, Thomas has averaged 23.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 52.1 percent from the field across 33.8 minutes per game.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Ruled out Tuesday
Thomas (back) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Charlotte, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
Thomas was a late addition the injury report, though he was originally deemed probable before being downgraded to questionable and eventually to out. With the 23-year-old guard sidelined for the first time this season, the club will likely take an extended look at Ziaire Williams, Jalen Wilson and Keon Johnson. Thomas' next chance to feature will come Friday against the 76ers.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Probable for Tuesday
Thomas is probable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets due to lower back tightness, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Thomas was a late addition to the injury report, but it doesn't sound like he's in too much danger of missing this contest. Thomas is in the midst of a breakout season, posting averages of 24.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.9 three-pointers.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Scores 16 points Sunday
Thomas closed Sunday's 114-104 loss to New York with 16 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-10 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 33 minutes.
Thomas was unable to build off the 43-point effort he delivered in the 124-122 loss to the Knicks on Friday, and he's now failed to reach the 20-point mark in three of his last four appearances. Even if Thomas' numbers might be trending in the wrong direction, he's still averaging a robust 24.6 points per game this season. Fantasy managers shouldn't be worried about his recent struggles, as Thomas should continue to have the green light to carry Brooklyn's offense for the foreseeable future.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Scores season-high 43 points
Thomas ended Friday's 124-122 loss to New York with 43 points (16-22 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes.
Thomas engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Jalen Brunson, who posted 37 points and seven assists, but his explosive scoring performance wasn't enough to lift Brooklyn to victory in this matchup. Despite the Nets' record, Thomas has been one of the best guards in fantasy across all formats. He's averaging 24.0 points, 3.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game since the beginning of November while making 43.1 percent of his three-point shots in that span.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Another strong scoring effort
Thomas chipped in 22 points (6-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT), two rebounds and six assists over 36 minutes during Saturday's 105-100 loss to the Cavaliers.
Widely heralded as one of the best pure scorers in the NBA, Thomas is backing up that assessment with strong display after strong display. The efficiency is not always there, as evidenced Saturday, but he handles a big enough volume on offense to remain relevant as a scorer even in games during which he isn't particularly efficient. Thomas has scored at least 22 points in seven of his 10 outings this season, including four contests in which he surpassed the 30-point mark.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Drops 31 points vs. Boston
Thomas finished Friday's 108-104 overtime loss to the Celtics with 31 points (11-22 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds, one asst and one steal over 38 minutes.
Thomas had scored 30 points cumulatively over his last two outings, but he returned to his high-volume scoring Friday as he registered his fourth 30-point outing of the regular season. The 2021 first-round pick is a high-volume shooter, having logged at least 17 field-goal attempts in all nine regular-season games. To start the 2024-25 campaign, Thomas is averaging 25.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals over 34.4 minutes per game.

Thomas provided 17 points (6-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 loss to the Pistons.
Thomas struggled shooting from deep but still provided a lift to the Nets offense while finishing second on the team in scoring and as one of two Brooklyn players with a double-digit point total. Thomas' scoring total in Sunday's loss is his lowest of the season, but he's scored north of 20 points in five of his first seven contests.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Stay hot in win over Chicago
Thomas racked up 32 points (11-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Friday's 120-112 win over the Bulls.
Thomas scored at least 30 points for the third time in six games. The fourth-year guard is currently ninth in the league in scoring with 28.2 points per game and is well on his way to a career-best campaign if he stays healthy. Thomas averaged 22.5 points per game across 66 regular-season appearances last season.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Struggles from field Wednesday
Thomas logged 19 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 10-11 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-106 win over Memphis.
Thomas had a rough showing in this win, but fortunately for him, the likes of Dennis Schroeder and Ziaire Williams stepped up to carry the Nets to their second win in their last three games. Thomas is bound to have a few down performances here and there, but he remains the most reliable offensive weapon the Nets have from a scoring perspective -- even when factoring in Schroder's impressive start to the campaign. Through five games, Thomas is averaging 27.4 points per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the floor.

Nets' Cam Thomas: Hits for 26 in OT loss to Denver
Thomas finished with 26 points (8-22 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 9-9 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 144-139 overtime loss to the Nuggets.
The fourth-year guard continues to fill up the bucket. Thomas has scored at least 24 points in four straight games to begin the season, and he's seeing incredible shot volume so far -- he's averaging 21.8 field-goal attempts per game, tied for sixth in the NBA with Cade Cunningham, and Thomas' 7.3 FT attempts a contest also puts him in the top 20 in the league. As long as Thomas is seeing elite usage, a career-best campaign should follow.
