76ers' Lonnie Walker: Logs season highs in defeat
Walker totaled 13 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 119-102 loss to Portland.
Walker led Philadelphia's second unit in scoring during an efficient outing Monday. The 26-year-old also racked up a team-high two swipes while tying the team-best mark in swats. He finished the contest with season-high marks in points, steals, blocks and playing time through five regular-season appearances. 76ers' Lonnie Walker: Available to make team debut
Head coach Nick Nurse said Walker will be available to make his 76ers debut Saturday against the Nets, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
After being waived by the Celtics during training camp, Walker caught on with Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas before returning to the NBA this week upon agreeing with the 76ers on a two-way deal. Walker spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Nets, averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 17.4 minutes per game across 58 games. The 26-year-old could earn a spot in the Philadelphia rotation while Eric Gordon (wrist) is sidelined, but Walker will likely struggle to see enough minutes to attain relevance in most fantasy formats.

Walker will return to the NBA after he was most recently playing for Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas. The veteran guard headed overseas after failing to win a spot on the Celtics' season-opening roster coming out of training camp, but his contract with Zalgiris contained an opt-out clause for him to pursue NBA opportunities. Lonnie Walker: Headed to Lithuania
Walker has signed with Euroleague Club Zalgiris Kaunas, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Walker's deal includes an NBA buyout clause for the 25-year-old to return stateside until Feb. 18.
Walker's durability has limited him in recent years, as he failed to exceed 58 games across either of the past two campaigns. Meanwhile, a larger role exists in Europe as opposed to the role-player duties he would be tasked with if offered a minimum contract in the NBA. Walker will presumably look to thrive overseas and return to a contender prior to the playoffs -- although remaining in Europe is a distinct possibility.

Walker needed 13 shots to score 15 points coming off the bench, but he was a standout performer for the Nets due to his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court despite not starting. Walker was unable to secure a starting role all season long, but he had more than a few decent performances with the second unit. Walker has scored in double digits in 27 different appearances, but only five of those have come since the beginning of March.
