Mark Vital: Let go by Kansas City
Vital was waived by the Chiefs on Thursday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Vital was dropped from Kansas City's roster after the team signed defensive end Carlos Dunlap in a corresponding move Thursday. The former basketball standout for Baylor transitioned to football after his college career and showed potential during the Chiefs' OTAs and minicamp this offseason; however, he will have to wait to pass through waivers in hopes of making his NFL debut elsewhere this coming season.

Chiefs' Mark Vital: Stays with Kansas City
Vital signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on Wednesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Vital joined the Chiefs' practice squad in mid-September and remained there for the entirety of the season. A former college basketball who won a national title with Baylor in 2021, Vital first transitioned to football last summer, so a full offseason with Kansas City could prove beneficial toward his development.
