GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Khalil Small scored 25 points and Green Bay defeated Cleveland State 66-44 on Thursday night.
Small moved up four spots to No. 20 on the all-time Phoenix career scoring list with 1,158 points while Green Bay allowed the fewest points by any of their Division I opponents this season.
Hunter Crist added 12 points and Manny Patterson had 11 points and 13 rebounds for his first career double-double.
In their previous meeting on Jan. 4, Green Bay (9-15, 4-7 Horizon League) lost to the Vikings 80-79. But Thursday, a 3-pointer from Crist followed by a jumper by Small gave the Phoenix a 21-7 lead on their way to a 32-13 halftime advantage with the lead reaching 24 points in the second half.
Dontel Highsmith scored 10 points for Cleveland State (5-17, 2-7), which shot just 28 percent, only 4 of 20 from the arc, and was outscored 16-0 off turnovers.
