Will LaMelo Ball ever play college basketball?

That's a question people are asking after LaVar Ball announced this week that his youngest son has a signature shoe just like older brother Lonzo Ball. Problem is, this doesn't seem to be in accordance with NCAA rules. Which means the NCAA and the Big Ballers could end up in court someday via a high-profile case that could change college sports.

What do I think?

What does Matt Norlander think?

We discussed the issue at the top of this Eye on College Basketball podcast. And then we turned our attention to the final question in our #CandidCoaches series. We decided to ask more than 100 college coaches to name the most powerful person in college basketball. Duke's Mike Krzyzewski and Kentucky's John Calipari were the leading vote-getters. William Wesley -- AKA World Wide Wes -- also got some votes, which allowed me to tell a story about where my relationship with Wesley originated.

College basketball lost some giants this week.

First Jud Heathcote.

Then Rollie Massimino.

Norlander and I discussed those two national-championship-winning coaches -- and then, somehow, we got into a conversation about how money can actually buy you happiness. I told Norlander about this story I read recently that details how and why. And I encouraged him to get a lawn service. I, personally, do pay a lawn service. It makes me happy. Because lawn work makes me sad.
