The Northridge Matadors and the UC Irvine Anteaters are set to square off in a Big West matchup at 10 p.m. ET Feb. 5 at Matadome. UC Irvine will be strutting in after a victory while the Matadors will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Northridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Thursday as they fell 83-77 to the UC San Diego Tritons.

Meanwhile, UC Irvine escaped with a win this past Thursday against the Santa Barbara Gauchos by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52.

Northridge is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the team is 4-11 ATS when expected to lose.
