The Marquette Golden Eagles lost both of their matches to the Connecticut Huskies last season on scores of 54-65 and 62-80, so they're hoping to turn the tables this season. Marquette and UConn will face off in a Big East battle at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Fiserv Forum. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The Golden Eagles came up short against the Xavier Musketeers this past Saturday, falling 80-71. The top scorer for Marquette was guard Greg Elliott (18 points).

Meanwhile, UConn entered their game against the Providence Friars this past Saturday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. It was close but no cigar for UConn as they fell 57-53 to Providence. Guard R.J. Cole (16 points) and guard Tyrese Martin (15 points) were the top scorers for the Huskies.

The Golden Eagles are expected to lose this next one by 4.5. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 4-2 against the spread when expected to lose.

The losses put Marquette at 8-4 and UConn at 9-3. A couple stats to keep an eye on: Marquette ranks 33rd in college basketball when it comes to blocked shots per game, with 5.2 on average. But the Huskies are even better: they enter the contest with 6.9 blocked shots per game on average, good for fifth best in college basketball. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
