The Boston College Eagles have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Syracuse Orange and are hoping to record their first win since Feb. 28 of 2018. BC's road trip will continue as they head to Carrier Dome at noon ET Saturday to face off against 'Cuse. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

It was close but no cigar for the Eagles as they fell 99-95 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday. Boston College's defeat came about despite a quality game from guard DeMarr Langford Jr., who had 23 points in addition to seven boards.

Meanwhile, the Orange ended up a good deal behind the Virginia Tech Hokies when they played on Saturday, losing 71-59. One thing holding 'Cuse back was the mediocre play of forward Cole Swider, who did not have his best game: he played for 40 minutes but put up just eight points on 4-for-13 shooting.

BC is expected to lose this next one by 8.5. They are currently two-for-two against the spread in their most recent games, however, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

BC is now 9-15 while 'Cuse sits at 13-12. Two numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Eagles are 52nd worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 66.2 on average. The Orange have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 37th most points allowed per game in college basketball, having given up 74.6 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
