    Analysis

    Seattle's George Kirby is a fine pitcher and might throw six strong ... and the game is still tied. Kirby generally speaking has been worse away from Seattle if not so much this year. I basically make this game a pick'em on the side so feel this is fairly generous just on Kirby himself to get a W. It's not like he plays on the Dodgers. Kirby has failed to win eight of his past 11.

    Analysis

    Gerrit Cole came back from Tommy John surgery in May and tossed 12.2 scoreless innings over his first two starts. In his last six starts, Cole has been shaky, posting a 5.70 ERA with eight homers allowed in 30 innings. He owns a bottom-4 percent whiff rate across MLB and a 22.8 percent strikeout rate, Cole's lowest since 2016. The Rays are 32-13 at home, where starter Shane McClanahan is 5-1 with a 2.21 ERA. Over the past 15 days, the Yankees rank dead last with an OPS of .544. Back the Rays in the third game of this pivotal series.

    In seven home starts this season, Logan Webb has thrown at least seven innings in five of them. He has a 1.70 daytime ERA in 2026 compared to 4.95 at night. Webb was phenomenal in June, with a 0.71 ERA over 38 innings, though he got rocked at Coors Field last Friday. Expect a bounce back performance and another 7 innings from the Giants' workhorse.

    Analysis

    The Blue Jays are seeing the 2nd fewest pitches per plate appearance and regardless of shifts in their lineup due to injuries, the projection for Webb still sits above 18 outs today. For the price, this makes for an intriguing over bet, and one that's showing some value. We just talked about it on the Early Edge, and EC mentioned how Webb has continually gone over this total when at home, missing in just 2/7 starts, one of which being the 1st of the year. He was shelled for 11 hits and seven runs in three innings in Colorado last time, so getting back to his home ballpark with a lighter workload in the previous start should give him ample opportunity to cover some innings.

    Analysis

    Logan Webb is off his worst start of the season, allowing seven earned runs on the road to the Rockies. He has a favorable matchup against Toronto who has been hitting .230 as a team over the last 30 days. However, Dylan Cease has had a strong season on the road, 4-1 record with a 2.75 ERA. The Blue Jays have won four of his last five starts as he has allowed four runs, or less, in four of those starts as well. Webb hasn’t been as sharp as in seasons past and Toronto’s lineup has had success against Webb in their careers.
