Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Drives in four runs
Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI in Monday's win over Cleveland. Blackmon did most of his damage with a three-run shot to cap off Colorado's six-run fourth inning. It was his second long ball of the year and he snapped a 34-game homerless drought. Blackmon also added a pair of doubles, giving him his first multi-hit performance since May 9. He's now slashing .237/.312/.378 with 15 extra-base hits and 23 RBI through 45 games.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Exits starting nine
Blackmon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies. With a tough lefty (Ranger Suarez) on the hill for Philadelphia and the Rockies and Phillies wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, the lefty-hitting Blackmon will receive some routine maintenance. His absence from the lineup will open up the designated-hitter spot for Kris Bryant, who started at first base in Saturday's 8-4 loss.... See More ... See Less -

Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Picks up second steal
Blackmon went 1-for-5 with a stolen base, one RBI and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 win over the Padres. Blackmon was part of the Rockies' fourth-inning rally. He drove in a run with a single, stole second and scored an Ezequiel Tovar single. Blackmon is 9-for-22 (.409) with nine RBI and four extra-base hits during his six-game hitting streak. The 37-year-old is slashing .248/.311/.380 with two steals, one home runs, 18 RBI and 17 runs scored over 132 plate appearances this season. Despite a significant drop in his hitting from last year, Blackmon's recent surge has helped him reclaim at least a share of the leadoff spot.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Sits vs. lefty
Blackmon is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rangers. Blackmon will head to the bench with a lefty, Andrew Heaney, on the mound for Texas. Elias Diaz picks up the start at designated hitter while Jacob Stallings starts behind the plate.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Drives home game-winning run
Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's victory over Texas. Blackmon broke open a 2-2 tie with a two-run double in the eighth inning. The 37-year old has collected two RBI in three straight games. Blackmon is slashing .241/.303/.375 over 122 plate appearances, and he's fallen into a strong-side platoon role in the twilight of his career.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Productive in loss
Blackmon went 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk Wednesday against the Giants. Blackmon delivered a pair of separate RBI knocks to snap a skid of 15 starts without collecting multiple hits. He's struggled to just a .616 OPS across 112 plate appearances to begin the season, though both his barrel and hard-hit rate remain in line with his more productive recent campaigns. If those skills stick, Blackmon should start to see better results, particularly at home.... See More ... See Less -
