U.S Soccer announced on Thursday that the men's national team, for the first time since 1947, will play a road game against Cuba. The international friendly will take place in Havana on Oct. 7 at Estadio Pedro Marrero.
This will be the team's second visit to the island nation in 69 years. The U.S. beat Cuba 1-0 on September 6, 2008 in their last meeting. Last year, the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Cuba improved as the U.S. embassy in Havana was reopened for the first time in 54 years.
