With the transfer window open and buzzing, we take a look at some of the transfer rumors and news around the world of soccer, from Major League Soccer to Europe.

Matic to United?

With Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko nearing a move to Chelsea, the Blues' Nemanja Matic could be set for a reunion with Jose Mourinho. According to ESPNFC, the midfielder is closing is on a deal with United after failing to sign Eric Dier from Tottenham.

Matic would give the Red Devils a strong, talented defensive midfielder missing from the squad, with Antonio Conte seemingly fine with selling to a rival club.

A deal is expected to cost at least $30 million but could cost over $40 million.

Lacazette on Gunners' radar

One of the best strikers in Europe could be on his way to Arsenal. According to L'Equipe, Alexandre Lacazette is on the Gunners' radar but Arsene Wenger's team will have to spend over $65 million to get him.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulus admitted the interest that the English club has for the player, who scored 37 goals last season.

"I saw [Arsenal manager] Arsene [Wenger] during the match between France and English. I was with Gerard Houllier [of Lyon] and I was led to believe that he said to Gerard that there could be interest from Arsenal.

"But it is premature to say that a deal will be done."

Arsenal fans have long been looking for a star striker to fill the shoes of Thierry Henry, and Lacazette could be the guy.

Barca after former Spurs man

Former Spurs man Paulinho, who has resurrected his career in China and has played a key role for the Brazilian national team, has an offer from Barcelona, he told Globo

It's a bit surprising to see a Tottenham reject whose quality has been doubted time and time again be linked to Barca, but he is a hard-working midfielder who has improved in attack.

The former Corinthians man has had a great 2017, including a sensational hat trick against Uruguay on March 23 in World Cup qualifying -- a 4-1 win for Brazil.  We'll see if he wants to leave Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande. He reportedly says he is comfortable there and enjoys life in Asia.

Everton bid fails for Iceland star

The most underrated and underappreciated player in the Premier League, Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson, could be on the move. But it may not be Everton. According to ESPNFC, Everton saw a bid of $34.5 million rejected for the 27-year-old, who had nine goals and 13 assists last season. While five years or 10 years ago that would have been more than enough to land the Iceland star, in this day and age of the transfer market, astonishing prices have to be paid to land stars like the midfielder.

The general feeling seems to be that Everton will have to spend north of $40 million to land the player, with Tottenham also linked.
