Germany is through to the Confederations Cup semifinals after winning Group B thanks to a 3-1 victory over Cameroon on Sunday. The reigning World Cup champs entered Sunday's match level with Chile with four points, but Joachim Low's squad scored three times in the second half to secure three points and win out the group.

In a first half that saw each team waste chances, Germany got going early in the second half on this golazo from Kerem Demibay:

Timo Werner then scored his first goal for the German national team in the 66th minute in what would go on to be the winning goal:

A goal in the 78th minute from Vincent Aboubakar resulted in a tense finish to the match, but Germany buckled down defensively and put the match to rest minutes later as Werner grabbed his second.

As a result, Germany wins the group with seven points and will face Mexico on Thursday in the semifinals.
