At least 17 people were killed at a soccer stadium in Angola on Friday after a stampede, according to Reuters.
Fans stormed the stadium gates in the northern city of Uige and pushed against barriers after failing to enter before the beginning of the match, resulting in people falling and many being trampled.

Many more were injured and were taken to area hospitals. In all, 76 people were hurt, including the 17 who lost their lives, with five in serious condition, according to the report.
The report says that the crowd trying to get in would have seen the stadium surpass its 8,000 capacity.
