Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Tending twine Saturday
Ersson will defend the road net against the Rangers on Saturday.
Ersson has gone 0-2-1 in his last three appearances while allowing 10 goals on 76 shots. He has posted a 5-4-3 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .869 save percentage through 12 appearances this season. Dan Vladar (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's game, so Aleksei Kolosov is up from AHL Lehigh Valley on an emergency basis to serve as Ersson's backup.

Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Not available Saturday
Dvorak (lower body) will miss Saturday's clash versus the Rangers.
Dvorak has moved to the top line and has been a force offensively of late, scoring once and adding six assists in his last seven games. He has seven goals and 23 points in 33 games this season, all at even strength. Dvorak could return as early as Monday against Vancouver.

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Out with injury
Vladar (upper body) is day-to-day and won't be in the lineup for Saturday's road game against the Rangers.
Philadelphia recalled Aleksei Kolosov from AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday on an emergency basis to serve as Samuel Ersson's backup. Vladar has earned a 12-5-3 record this season with a 2.41 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 20 appearances.

Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Called up from minors
Kolosov was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley under emergency conditions on Saturday.
The Flyers need a backup goaltender for Samuel Ersson because Dan Vladar is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Kolosov has made two appearances at the NHL level this season, going 0-1-0, giving up two goals on 28 shots.

Flyers' Denver Barkey: Recalled by Philadelphia
Barkey was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Barkey hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he's recorded seven goals, nine assists, 20 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 26 appearances to begin his first season in the AHL. He'll join the Flyers ahead of the holiday break to provide additional depth after defenseman Egor Zamula was sent down Friday.

Flyers' Noah Cates: Finds twine in loss
Cates scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.
Cates tied the game at 1-1 with a goal just 58 seconds after Jack Quinn opened the scoring for the Sabres. Over nine games in December, Cates has four points, 17 shots on net, nine hits and eight blocked shots. He's been a reliable middle-six forward for the Flyers once again, earning eight goals, 17 points, 62 shots, 32 hits, 28 blocks and a plus-12 rating over 33 outings this season. He does just enough to be on the fringe of fantasy rosters in standard formats and offers well-rounded production for managers in deeper leagues.

Flyers' Bobby Brink: Registers two assists
Brink earned a pair of assists in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Sabres.
Brink has turned it up offensively of late, notching three goals and four assists in his last eight outings. Prior to his offensive outburst, the winger had generated just one point in 12 games, so fantasy managers should expect him to be rather streaky the rest of the way.

Flyers' Cam York: Tallies goal against Sabres
York scored a goal on two shots in a 5-3 win over Buffalo on Thursday.
York ended a 15-game goal drought with his tally, registering his first point since a four-game absence earlier this month. With Rasmus Ristolainen healthy, he could steal some power-play time from York, which could result in a drop in production for the 24-year-old blueliner.

Flyers' Travis Konecny: Scores goal in loss
Konecny scored a goal on four shots in a 5-3 defeat to Buffalo on Thursday.
Koencny is currently on a four-game point streak and has written his name on the scoresheet in nine of his last 10 outings. During his hot streak, the 28-year-old winger has tallied five goals and eight assists, including a trio of power-play points. Look for Konecny to continue to feature on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit moving forward.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Suffers loss Thursday
Ersson allowed four goals on 27 shots in a 5-3 defeat to the Sabres on Thursday.
Ersson is currently mired in a three-game losing streak during which he has posted a 0-2-1 record to go with a 3.31 GAA. At this point, the 26-year-old netminder has fallen behind Dan Vladar as the No. 1 option for the Flyers. As such, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect Ersson to reach the 20-win threshold this year, a mark he hit in each of the last two campaigns.

Flyers' Jack Nesbitt: One of each Thursday
Nesbitt scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Windsor's 6-2 win over Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday.
This was Nesbitt's first multi-point effort since his five-point game Nov. 8. The Flyers prospect is up to 10 goals and 16 helpers through 25 appearances, putting him just over a point-per-game pace. His offense hasn't exploded this year, but he is showing decent consistency in his first campaign since being drafted 12th overall back in June.

Flyers' Egor Zamula: Waived by team
Zamula was placed on waivers by the Flyers on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Zamula has featured in just five of Philadelphia's last 20 games, so it shouldn't come as a shock to see the team trying to move him to the minors -- assuming he clears. Even when the 25-year-old blueliner has played, he's failed to offer much in the way of productivity, generating one point, 15 blocks and nine shots.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Drawing start Thursday
Ersson will start Thursday's road game against Buffalo, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
Ersson has seen limited playing time in recent weeks, but he'll be between the pipes Thursday for the second time in the Flyers' last six games. Across his last five starts, he's gone 2-2-1 with a 2.54 GAA and .897 save percentage.

Flyers' Sean Couturier: Dishes two assists
Couturier notched two assists, four shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Couturier ended a four-game slump with the pair of helpers. He assisted on Carl Grundstrom's game-tying goal in the first period and Travis Konecny's empty-netter in the third. The 33-year-old Couturier is now at 19 points, 45 shots on net, 31 hits, 23 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 31 appearances. While the even-strength production is a positive, he has yet to record a power-play point. Couturier doesn't really separate himself from the average top-six center in fantasy.

Flyers' Carl Grundstrom: Nets another goal
Grundstrom scored a goal on three shots and added four hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Grundstrom has earned a point in four of the last five games, accounting for all of his offense this season. He's added eight shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-4 rating over six appearances. Grundstrom's play stabilized the fourth line upon his entry to the lineup Dec. 9, and he could now get a look in a middle-six role for a bit. Fantasy managers don't need to jump to add him, but he could be a useful streaming source of hits while his offense is steady.

Flyers' Bobby Brink: Scores again in Tuesday's win
Brink scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Brink has three goals and two assists over his last seven outings. The winger had a poor November but has found more consistency in December while remaining in a third-line role. He's up to nine goals, 15 points, 61 shots on net, 39 hits and a minus-3 rating over 32 appearances, and he's still playing around the pace necessary to at least match last year's 41-point output.
