Harley has earned a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak. The 23-year-old defenseman has five points, 19 shots on net, nine blocked shots, six hits and a plus-6 rating over nine appearances this season. That's a similar pace to last season, when he had 47 points in 79 regular-season outings. Harley is unlikely to shoot 10.4 percent as he did in 2023-24, but he should make up the difference with helpers.

Harley remains the only Dallas blueliner to earn a point this season, and he has three of them (one goal, two assists) through seven contests. The 23-year-old defenseman has added 17 shots on net, six blocked shots, five hits and a plus-3 rating. The team has started 5-2-0, so the lack of production from the blue line hasn't had too much of an impact yet, but fantasy managers who took Harley with a late-round pick can feel comfortable that he's contributing.

Harley moved up to the top pairing alongside Miro Heiskanen to cover the absence of Matt Dumba (lower body). Through three games, Harley has racked up two assists, a plus-3 rating, 10 shots on net and five blocked shots. Last regular season, he averaged 1.8 shots per game while shooting 10.4 percent in a 15-goal, 47-point campaign. That's a tough efficiency for a defenseman to maintain, but Harley could keep his production level or better if he is able to sustain a higher shot volume.

Harley began 2024-25 on the second pairing with Ilya Lyubushkin, as the Stars look committed to balancing their defensive pairs with left-handed and right-handed shooters. In the playoffs last year, Harley and fellow lefty Miro Heiskanen often worked together on the top pair. The result here is likely less ice time for Harley, though he may also be able to contribute more offense with easier matchups. Stars' Thomas Harley: Signed before camp opens
Harley signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Stars on Tuesday.
It's a bridge deal for the 23-year-old defenseman, who broke out with 15 goals, 32 assists, nine power-play points, 135 blocked shots and a plus-28 rating over 79 games last year. Harley was a restricted free agent prior to signing. Harley notched an assist and blocked six shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 5.
The six blocks were one off Harley's playoff high. More notably, he got on the scoresheet for the second game in a row, assisting on a Wyatt Johnston tally in the third period to break up Stuart Skinner's shutout bid. Harley has been limited to four helpers over 18 playoff outings, but he's added 50 blocks, 27 shots on net and a plus-8 rating in a top-four role.

The helper snapped a seven-game slump for Harley. The 22-year-old defenseman may be starting to feel the wear and tear of a full-length NHL season and a deep playoff run, as he's struggled to provide a strong two-way game in the playoffs.
