Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Provides helper in win
Martinook notched an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Kraken.
Martinook has two assists through seven games this season. The 32-year-old winger continues to play on the third line as part of a partnership with center Jordan Staal. Seth Jarvis has also been on that line lately, giving it a bit more scoring potential. Martinook has contributed 11 shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-3 rating, but he's unlikely to produce much more than 30 points in the 2024-25 campaign.

Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Re-signs Monday
Martinook agreed to a three-year, $9.15 million contract with the Hurricanes on Monday, according to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.
Although Martinook briefly tested the unrestricted free agent market, he's sticking with Carolina. He had 14 goals and 32 points across 82 regular-season outings with the Hurricanes in 2023-24. Look for the 31-year-old to continue to serve in a middle-six capacity throughout the life of his new contract.

Martinook recorded a goal on three shots, one hit and a pair of penalty minutes in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
Now with 25 points in 67 games (12G, 13A), Martinook has a shot at cracking the 30-point plateau for the second consecutive season given his current pace. Although he continues to skate primarily on the Canes' third line, he makes for a decent fantasy pickup in deeper formats.

Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Fills empty cage
Martinook scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Monday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Martinook has found a little extra offense lately, racking up eight goals and three assists over his last 15 outings. Considering he's at just 10 goals on the season, it's unlikely he'll be able to keep up this hot stretch much longer. The third-line winger has 21 points, 103 shots on net, 39 hits and a plus-2 rating over 55 appearances, and his value on the ice remains higher than his usefulness in most fantasy formats.
